Board-Stacking Selection Note
The B3221B7L1112A0E100 is a 100-position, dual-row floating plug on 0.020" (0.50mm) pitch, designed for board-to-board mezzanine stacking at a mated height of 10.00mm. The floating contact construction compensates for up to several tenths of a millimetre of misalignment between the two PCBs during assembly, which is common with large-format boards or when the connectors are not aligned by a single rigid frame. Board guide features on the housing help steer the plug into the mating receptacle during blind-mate operations.
The mated stacking height of 10.00mm is fixed by the combination of plug and receptacle body heights; the board-to-board gap is non-adjustable, so the z-height budget on both PCBs must match this dimension exactly. The 0.50mm pitch drives tight routing — expect two traces per channel between pads on a standard PCB, with via-in-pad or microvia techniques needed for dense fan-out.
