Stacked D-Sub Plug for Board-Edge I/O
The Amphenol L17H2110131 is a stacked D-sub plug from the 17H series, packing two independent 9-position connectors into a single right-angle through-hole package. Each of the two 9-position rows carries signal-level contacts rated 3A per circuit at 250V, with gold flash on the stamped brass pins for reliable low-level switching over repeated mating cycles. The steel shell with tin plating provides EMC shielding, while the board locks and grounding indents on the mating face secure the connector to the PCB and bleed shield current before it reaches the signal pins. This is the male plug half; it mates with a standard female DE-9 receptacle, and the 4-40 female screwlocks on the flange lock the pair together against vibration.
Through-hole solder termination: the 18 pins (9 per row) are soldered into plated through-holes on the PCB. The 4-40 female screwlocks on the mating side accept standard male jack-screws from the mating receptacle — these are the primary vibration lock.
