The Amphenol MDT180M03001 is a 67-position M.2 female connector designed for Next Generation Form Factor (NGFF) mini cards, commonly used as the board-edge slot for SSDs and wireless modules in laptops and embedded systems. The 0.50 mm pitch packs the signal contacts into a compact dual-row layout that matches the M.2 card edge footprint, keeping the overall slot width narrow enough for space-constrained designs. The Key M notch in the housing accepts only M-keyed cards — typically NVMe SSDs — and physically blocks B-key or E-key cards from seating, which prevents electrical misconnection. Right-angle SMT termination places the mated card parallel to the motherboard, which is the standard orientation for internal drive bays where the z-height above the board is limited to the card thickness plus a few millimetres.
The Key M notch in the housing accepts only M-keyed M.2 cards. A B-key or E-key card will not seat.
Gold flash on the contact finish provides corrosion resistance. The LCP insulator is rated for -40°C to 80°C.
