The Amphenol PSASM2130391TR is a 68-position SAS/PCIe plug connector built for internal high-speed storage and backplane interfaces. Board guide and flange features are integrated into the shell. The board guide steers the plug into alignment with the receptacle during blind mating — critical when the connector is buried inside a chassis and the operator is guiding by feel.
Contact Finish and Plating Duty
The base metal under the gold is typically nickel, which blocks copper migration and keeps the contact spring properties stable over the operating temperature range.
Packaging and Assembly
Supplied on Tape & Reel (TR) with a Cut Tape (CT) option for prototype or low-volume builds. The SMT termination suits standard reflow soldering profiles; the right-angle body means the pick-and-place nozzle picks from the top of the reel pocket and the part self-aligns during reflow. The board guide and flange add stability on the belt — the connector won't tombstone or shift if the paste deposit is even.
