12-Circuit NSH Receptacle Housing at 1.00 mm Pitch
The JST NSHR-12V-S is a 12-position single-row receptacle housing from the NSH series, built on a 1.00 mm pitch. It accepts female socket crimp terminals (ordered separately — contacts are not included) and terminates via crimp, making it a wire-to-board or wire-to-wire interconnect for compact harness assemblies. The housing is moulded in natural polybutylene terephthalate (PBT) with a latch lock fastening system that provides an audible click on full mate, suited for applications where vibration could otherwise work a connector loose.
Pitch and Footprint — What 1.00 mm Means for Layout
The 1.00 mm pitch is the tightest in the NSH series and drives the board footprint for the mating header. At this spacing, routing a single signal between adjacent header pins is straightforward on a standard PCB without micro-vias, but the narrow pitch limits per-contact current compared to wider-pitch connectors. For a 12-circuit single-row layout, the header occupies roughly 12 mm of board edge — a compact footprint that fits dense I/O panels or mezzanine card edges.
