The JST PHDR-08VS is an 8-position, dual-row receptacle housing from the PHD series, on a 2.00 mm pitch with matching 2.00 mm row spacing. It is a free-hanging (in-line) crimp housing that accepts female socket contacts — the contacts themselves are ordered separately.
What It Mates With and How to Wire It
This receptacle housing mates with the PHD series dual-row pin header (the male half) at the same 2.00 mm pitch. Termination is crimp-style — you insert a separately purchased female socket contact into each of the 8 cavities, then crimp the wire. The housing provides the mechanical retention and polarization; the contacts handle the electrical path. Because the contacts are not included, order the matching JST crimp terminals (typically the SPHD-002T-P0.5 or similar per the wire gauge) and a hand crimp tool for assembly.
