The JST PHDR-12VS is the 12-position receptacle housing in the PHD series, a 2.00 mm pitch dual-row crimp connector family. It is a free-hanging (in-line) housing that accepts female socket contacts, terminated by crimping — the contacts are ordered separately. The natural polyamide (PA66) body is rated for -25°C to 85°C operation. This housing is the wire-side half of a wire-to-board interconnect; it mates with the corresponding PHD series pin header (sold separately). What Contacts Fit and What It Mates With
Because the PHDR-12VS ships without contacts (the note on the line is explicit: Contacts Not Included), you need to order the matching PHD series female crimp terminals separately. The housing accepts the standard PHD socket contact, typically supplied in strip form for semi-automatic or hand crimp tools. The mating plug is a PHD series pin header — a through-hole or SMT header with the same 2.00 mm pitch and dual-row layout. The header's polarization ribs align with the housing's keying slots to prevent mis-mating. For a 12-position assembly, the header order code is the PHDR-12V (the header variant of the same base number).
