What the Contacts-Not-Included Note Actually Means
The JST PHDR-14VS is a 14-position, dual-row receptacle housing from the PHD series, designed for free-hanging inline wire-to-board or wire-to-wire interconnects. The critical note on this line: contacts are not included. That step is easy to miss on a first BOM pass — the housing and the terminal are distinct line items.
The crimp termination accepts the JST PHD series female socket contacts (sold separately). The free-hanging inline mount means the housing sits in the harness, not on the board; the header is the board-mounted half.
