9-Position Receptacle Housing for 2.50 mm Pitch Wire-to-Board Harnesses
The JST XARR-09VF is a 9-circuit receptacle housing from the XA series, designed for wire-to-board interconnect applications where a positive-lock connection is needed. The housing accepts male pin crimp contacts and mounts to a panel, with a latch lock that provides audible and tactile feedback during mating — useful in harness assemblies subject to vibration or incidental cable pull. The 0.098" (2.50 mm) pitch keeps the board footprint compact. The housing is moulded from natural polyamide (PA) nylon, rated for continuous operation from -25°C to 85°C.
Contacts Not Included — Order Crimp Terminals Separately
The XARR-09VF ships as an empty housing only — the male pin crimp contacts are ordered separately. This is standard for JST XA series housings; the buyer selects the terminal plating (tin or gold) and wire gauge that matches the application current and mating cycle requirements. The crimp termination allows field-serviceable harness assembly without soldering.
Panel Mount with Latch Lock Retention
Mounting is via panel mount — the housing snaps into a rectangular cutout in the enclosure or bulkhead, securing the connector body before the mating half is engaged. The latch lock on the top of the housing clicks into the mating plug's locking ramp, preventing accidental disconnection under cable strain. For harness builders, this means the receptacle stays fixed to the panel while the plug half is the serviceable side.
Sourcing and Lifecycle
No official second-source or direct cross-reference is on record; the housing mates with the matching XAP series plug housing and uses standard XA crimp terminals.
