The 4-position count in a dual-row arrangement (2 rows) is a common configuration for small sensor and actuator harnesses where the circuit count is fixed. The white color aids visual inspection of the latch engagement and wire seating during harness assembly.
Position Counts in the YL Series
The YL series receptacle housings are available in several position counts at the same 0.177" (4.50mm) pitch. The 4-position YLR-04V is the smallest dual-row option; the 6-position YLR-06V (and its VF variant) adds two circuits in the same row layout for harnesses that need more I/O. The pitch and latch style are identical across the family, so the same crimp terminal and mating header are used — only the cavity count changes.
