Product details

This is the isolated variant in the Greenpar series, shipped in bulk and including the connector, lockwasher, and nut as a complete mounting kit. The 75 Ohm impedance targets video, CCTV, and broadcast distribution systems rather than 50 Ohm RF — the impedance mismatch matters if you are swapping into a 50 Ohm line.

Rated for 500 mating cycles, this jack handles frequent reconnection in test racks or field-service panels. The 1 GHz frequency ceiling covers baseband video and low-frequency RF. The 500 V rating gives generous headroom for video distribution amplifiers and test equipment where transient spikes are common. The silver-plated brass centre contact and nickel-plated brass body are standard for BNC in this class — silver keeps insertion loss low (0.5 dB) through the mating interface, and the nickel body finish resists corrosion in indoor equipment racks. Operating temperature is -40°C to 60°C, which covers most indoor and sheltered outdoor cabinets but not direct engine-bay or oven environments.

Panel-mount with a rear-side nut through a bulkhead — the included lockwasher and nut secure the jack to the panel, and the bayonet lock on the mating face gives a quick quarter-turn engagement. The shield is terminated by soldering to the body, and the centre contact uses a solder cup for the signal wire. This is a field-termination design: strip, tin, solder. No crimp tool needed.

Frequently asked questions

Is 1-1478201-0 compatible with RG59 coax?

The 75 Ohm impedance matches RG59 cable, and the BNC interface is standard for RG59 connectors. The solder cup termination accepts the centre conductor of RG59 — confirm the cable diameter fits the panel-mount clearance and strain relief arrangement in your enclosure.
