8-Position IDC Receptacle, 5.00 mm Pitch — TE Mark II
Tin-plated blade pin contacts are rated for the series' standard current; the tin finish is adequate for low mating-cycle duty where the connector is wired once and left mated. The latch lock snaps onto the mating header and holds against vibration without a secondary screw or clip. Free-hanging (in-line) mounting means it sits in the harness, not on the board — the wire exit is dual, so the cable can route either direction out of the back.
Active Production — Sourcing and Lifecycle
No last-time-buy or phase-out notice is on record. No official second-source or cross-reference is listed beyond the Mark II series itself.
Termination and Wire Prep — IDC Reality
IDC termination means no individual crimp terminals — the wire is laid into the slot and the connector is pressed down so the contacts slice through the insulation. This works with discrete wire (listed wire type: Discrete) and requires a hand press or bench tool, not a crimp die. The dual wire exit lets the cable exit either side of the connector body, which helps in tight harness routing.
