11-Position IDC Receptacle for Discrete Wire Harnesses
Tin-plated female socket contacts handle the signal-level current typical of this class; the plating grade is suited for a fixed harness that sees a limited number of mate-unmate cycles over its service life.
Termination and Wire Preparation
IDC termination means the wire insulation is pierced by the contact tines as the cover is pressed down — no stripping, no crimp tool, just a press. The 26-28 AWG range covers common signal-level wire gauges used in control cabinets and appliance harnesses. A splice is a fault waiting to happen if the IDC tines don't fully penetrate the insulation; a proper press tool ensures the cover seats flush and the tines bite through cleanly.
Free-hanging (in-line) mount means this receptacle floats in the harness — no board lock, no panel clip. It mates with the corresponding CT series pin header (male pins, same 2.00mm pitch). The natural (uncolored) housing is a visual cue for wire routing; no secondary latch or CPA is listed on this variant, so the friction of the IDC termination and the housing lock are what hold the pair together. For a harness that sees road buzz or machine vibration, confirm the mating header includes a locking ramp.
