The VAL-U-LOK series uses a standard crimp female socket terminal (TE part number 1-1703498 series, typically 20-24 AWG range). You must order the terminals separately and crimp them with the correct applicator die. Sectioning a sample crimp to verify strand capture and crimp height is the only way to guarantee pull-out force meets the harness spec — wrong die, wrong crimp.
The mating connector for this receptacle housing is the corresponding VAL-U-LOK plug housing (male pin side), also a 12-position, 4.20mm pitch, dual-row free-hanging crimp housing. For field service, the latch is the only retention; no secondary lock is present on the housing itself, so verify the terminal is fully seated in the cavity before mating to avoid push-back.
