Board-to-Wire Header for Confined Spaces
The 1-1971839-4 is a 4-position, single-row shrouded header from TE Connectivity's 2.50 mm pitch board-to-wire family. The -40°C to 120°C operating range covers automotive under-hood and industrial cabinet duty without derating.
Footprint and Routing Fit
Through-hole mounting with a 0.114" (2.90mm) post length — the solder tail protrudes enough for a solid wave-solder fillet on a standard 1.6mm board. The 0.516" (13.11mm) insulation height leaves clearance for a mating receptacle above the board surface. A board guide feature further assists alignment if the header is near a board edge or other tall components.
Silver-plated contacts on a copper alloy base carry the current without the contact resistance drift seen in tin at elevated temperature.
