10-Position Plug with Push-In Spring Termination
The 1-1986720-0: The screwless push-in spring termination accepts solid or ferruled stranded wire from 14-30 AWG (0.05-2 mm²), reducing assembly time compared to screw-clamp terminals. The 180° wire entry keeps the cable path straight, simplifying routing in junction boxes and control panels.
Side Stacking for Multi-Level Wiring
The side stacking feature allows multiple 1-1986720-0 plugs to be ganged together side-by-side, creating a multi-position assembly without additional hardware. This is useful when a single-level 10-position block is insufficient and a wider multi-level block is needed — the stack maintains the 3.81 mm pitch across the combined assembly. Each level handles 10 positions, and the insulation height of 0.459" (11.66 mm) gives clearance for wire routing behind the plug in a shallow enclosure.
Termination and Wire Compatibility
The push-in spring termination is a leg-spring design: strip the wire to the recommended length, push it into the entry, and the spring clamps it without a tool. For solid wire the spring bites directly; for stranded wire a ferrule is recommended to prevent strand fan-out.
