Free-Hanging Plug with Push-In Spring Clamp
The 1-1986722-0: This is a cable-end plug, not a board header — mates to a fixed header on the PCB. The 180° wire entry keeps the cable exiting straight back, useful when routing wires along a panel or into a duct. Termination is screwless — a leg spring or push-in spring clamp grips solid or ferruled stranded wire from 14-30 AWG (0.05-2 mm²). No screw torque to manage; the spring holds the conductor against the current bar. The side-stacking feature lets multiple plugs interlock side-by-side, building a wider assembly without extra brackets or hardware.
Current, Pitch, and Voltage Ceiling
Single-level design with 10 positions per level; the insulation height of 0.459" (11.66 mm) gives clearance for the spring mechanism and wire entry.
Environmental and Flammability Rating
Operating range -40°C to 110°C covers indoor industrial cabinets, lighting fixtures, and HVAC controls where ambient heat or cold is a factor.
