This plug is designed for RG-59, 59A, 59B, 62, 62A, and 62B cables. The included spacer centers the dielectric inside the shell before the final crimp.
The 50 Ohm impedance holds through the polyethylene dielectric. Insertion loss is spec'd at 0.2 dB, and the maximum frequency is 4 GHz — well within the BNC's practical band for video, instrumentation, and RF test signals up to the low microwave range.
