What This 2-Position Housing Does in the Build
It accepts male or female crimp contacts and snaps into a panel cutout for a wire-to-wire or wire-to-panel interconnect. The wide temperature range means the housing material won't embrittle in cold soak or creep under continuous cabinet heat.
Contacts Are Ordered Separately — Here's What to Know
This housing accepts both male tab and female socket crimp terminals from the Universal MATE-N-LOK family. The crimp terminals are ordered by wire gauge — the series supports 14-20 AWG stranded wire depending on the specific contact part number. For a complete mated pair, you need the housing, the matching plug housing, and the crimp terminals for both sides.
Panel Mount Snap-In — No Hardware Needed
Mounting is panel mount with snap-in retention. The housing pushes into a rectangular panel cutout and the integral latches hold it in place without screws or clips. This speeds up harness assembly — the housing stays fixed while you insert the terminated contacts, then mate the plug half.
