12-Position Universal MATE-N-LOK Receptacle Housing
Mating Plug and Compatible Contacts
The housing accepts either male or female crimp contacts (sold separately), so the same shell can serve as the receptacle side of a wire-to-wire splice or as the panel-mount half. Friction alone won't hold the road buzz — the ramp lock is the secondary lock that does.
Panel Mount and Locking Ramp
Snap-in panel mounting lets this housing seat into a rectangular cutout without hardware — the integral latches compress during insertion and spring out behind the panel. That makes it suited for harness sections that see occasional disconnect for service, not for permanent splices where a tool-less disconnect is a risk. The yellow colour is standard for the Universal MATE-N-LOK series and aids visual identification on a crowded harness.
