Closed bottom socket for pin retention
This TE Connectivity 1-5331677-6 is a closed bottom socket from the 5331677 series, designed to accept pin diameters from 0.022" to 0.025" (0.56mm to 0.64mm). The closed bottom feature prevents the pin from passing through, giving a positive stop during insertion — useful when you're rebuilding a loom and need consistent contact depth. Socket depth is 0.125" (3.18mm), which sets how far the pin seats. That depth, combined with the beryllium copper contact material, gives good spring retention over repeated mates.
Solder termination and panel fit
Termination is solder, so you're making a permanent joint — no crimp tool needed. The flange diameter is 0.080" (2.03mm), and the mounting hole diameter range is 0.062" to 0.063" (1.57mm to 1.60mm). That tells you the clearance you need in a panel or PCB for a snug fit. Overall length is 0.138" (3.51mm), and the tail type is listed as no tail — the solder connection is at the base of the socket body.
