36-position dual-row on 0.100-inch grid
The mating pitch and row spacing are both 0.100 inch (2.54 mm), which matches the standard square-grid footprint used across the Mod IV line. All 36 positions are loaded. The connector is a receptacle that accepts a header from either the top or bottom side of the board — the contact beams are symmetrical. That makes it useful for stacking two PCBs or for a wire-to-board interface where the header can be on either side of the receptacle.
Gold mating finish, tin-lead tails
That gold thickness handles a few hundred mating cycles without wear-through — fine for production board-to-board connections that don't get cycled daily. The solder tails are tin-lead (150.0 µin), so this part is not RoHS compliant. If your BOM calls for 16 circuits, that part saves board space and cost. The 1-534998-8 is a 36-position receptacle rated for 2 A and listed as board-to-board or cable, but its housing material is thermoplastic rather than polyester.
