The 1-5499141-1: The right-angle through-hole orientation routes the cable parallel to the board, saving vertical space in enclosures. The fully shrouded 4-wall housing protects the male pins during handling and prevents mis-mating with the wrong cable assembly. The latch lock/eject hooks provide a positive mechanical retention that resists vibration — useful in industrial or conveyor applications where the connector sees movement. The gold or gold-palladium mating finish (30.0 µin thick) supports repeated mating cycles without corrosion.
