Board-to-Wire Header for 17-Circuit Harnesses
The 1-640445-7: A single-wall shroud surrounds the male square pins, guiding the mating receptacle and protecting the contacts during insertion. The tin-plated mating surface is rated for the typical wire-to-board mating cycle count in a fixed installation; gold is not needed here because the connector is seldom unmated after commissioning.
Pitch, Positions, and Locking — Fit Check
17 positions, all loaded, in a single row. The friction lock engages with a ramp on the receptacle shroud — you will feel it click when fully seated. The 0.156" (3.96 mm) pitch is the same across the MTA-156 family, so the board footprint is consistent whether you use a 2-position or 24-position header. Rated 600 VAC — sufficient for 120/240/480 VAC industrial circuits.
