18-position MTA-156 header with friction lock
The 1-640445-8 is a single-row, 18-position header from the MTA-156 series, designed for board-to-cable/wire connections. It uses a 0.156" (3.96mm) pitch and a shrouded one-wall design with a friction lock to secure the mating receptacle.
The 1-640445-8 is ROHS3 compliant and uses a UL94 V-0 rated glass-filled thermoplastic housing.
This header mates with MTA-156 series receptacle housings (such as the 1-480698-x family) using the matching crimp contacts. Termination is through-hole solder; the contact posts are tin-plated and measure 0.125" (3.18mm) long, suitable for standard PCB thicknesses.
