For a complete mated pair, the matching plug housing with female socket contacts is needed on the other side of the connection.
The panel mount, snap-in mounting type allows this housing to be installed into a cutout in the equipment chassis or enclosure panel without hardware. The snap-in feature engages the panel edge and holds the housing in place while the mating plug is connected.
