12-Position MTA-156 Header with Friction Lock
The 1-644753-2: The single-wall shroud guides the mating housing and protects the pins from bending during blind-mate assembly. The header mates with the standard MTA-156 unshrouded receptacle housing (such as the 1-644750 series) that accepts 18-22 AWG discrete wires with the matching crimp terminal.
Through-Hole Solder and Tin-Plated Contacts
Termination is through-hole solder — the 0.175" (4.45mm) post length provides enough stand-off for wave solder or hand-solder assembly on a standard 1.6mm PCB. The header is rated for 600VAC and the current rating varies by wire gauge — in practice, the 3.96mm pitch and tin plating support up to 7A per circuit with 18 AWG wire in the mating terminal, but the exact limit depends on the wire size and ambient temperature.
