Board footprint and mating family — 4.14 mm pitch
The 1-770858-1: This header uses the Mini-Universal MATE-N-LOK 4.14 mm pitch, not the more common 0.100-inch (2.54 mm) spacing. The 0.163" (4.14 mm) pitch and 0.163" row spacing set the PCB hole pattern and define the mating receptacle family — any Mini-Universal MATE-N-LOK housing with the same pitch and 10 circuits will mate.

Plating and current — what the gold buys you
The gold layer handles moderate mating cycles without fretting corrosion; the thick tin post finish gives a reliable solder joint. Current rating is not fixed — it varies by wire gauge in the mating terminal, so size the circuit protection to the actual wire and ambient temperature.
