The shrouded - 4 wall design with a locking ramp keeps the mating half seated under shock, and the sealable feature means the connector pair can be specified for IP-rated enclosures without potting or booting.
Mounting and sealing details
The header is sealable, meaning the mating receptacle (sold separately) carries the seal; the header itself provides the rigid interface. Contact finish is gold-palladium on the mating surface, which resists corrosion in high-humidity or salt-spray environments better than plain gold flash. The brass contacts are circular male pins, loaded in all 14 positions.
