The 0.318" (8.08mm) mating pin length and 0.125" (3.18mm) solder tail give a total contact length of 0.533" (13.55mm). The insulation height of 0.090" (2.29mm) leaves clearance for the mating housing to seat flush against the header. For a wire-to-board application, the mating female connector uses AMPMODU Mod II crimp sockets (e.g., 1-87456-0 series) in a 17-position receptacle housing — confirm the housing part number against the wire gauge and plating requirements. The 0.100" pitch sets the board footprint: a 17-position single-row header occupies 1.700" (43.18mm) of board edge. The unshrouded design allows the mating housing to slide on from above, but provides no keying — polarity is set by the PCB layout and housing orientation.
