Right-angle power header for automotive harnesses
The shrouded 4-wall design and lever lock fastening provide positive retention under vibration, which is key for automotive and general-purpose environments. All 29 positions are loaded with tin-plated rectangular tab contacts on copper alloy — tin plating is standard for high-cycle, low-cost power interconnects where mating cycles are moderate.
Mating connector and current rating
This plug mates with a Junior Power Timer receptacle housing (TE order code 1-967290-1 or similar) that accepts the matching tab terminals. The Junior Power Timer series is rated for up to 20 A per circuit at 85 °C ambient with 14 AWG wire — the actual current ceiling depends on the wire gauge, ambient temperature, and number of adjacent circuits powered simultaneously. The lever lock engages audibly on mating, and the housing includes a mounting flange for panel or bracket attachment. The 0.122" post length is sufficient for standard 1.6 mm PCBs, and the insulation height of 1.280" provides clearance for the wire exit angle.
