14-Circuit Shrouded Header for Ribbon-Cable Interconnects
The 102153-2: The shrouded four-wall design guards the male pins against damage during mating — a practical choice when the cable assembly gets field-serviced or swapped out repeatedly.
This header mates with the standard AMP-Latch IDC socket (14-position, 2.54 mm pitch) commonly used for 0.050" ribbon cable. The mounting flange adds mechanical retention to the PCB if the application needs it.
Compliance Note
RoHS non-compliant per TE's listing — the post finish is tin-lead (100.0 µin), and the mating finish may contain gold-palladium. If RoHS exemption is required, confirm with your compliance team before committing the BOM line.
