Six positions in a single row is a compact signal interconnect for low-channel-count harnesses or board-to-board links — all positions are loaded. The tin-lead post finish (100 microinches) is a legacy solder termination — note the RoHS non-compliance for new designs in regulated markets.
Mounting and Mating — Right-Angle Through-Hole Fit
The right-angle through-hole termination requires a PCB with plated through-holes at 0.100" pitch. The contact length - mating is 0.230" (5.84mm), providing sufficient engagement depth for the mating receptacle.
The part is RoHS non-compliant due to the tin-lead post finish, which means it cannot be used in RoHS-mandated assemblies without an exemption. The closest functional alternative in the same series is the 1394090-1, which uses a 0.112" (2.85mm) pitch and tin mating finish — a board layout change is required.
