Right-Angle 14-Position Header for IDC Ribbon Cable
The 104130-2: The latch lock/eject hooks provide a positive mechanical retention with the mating half and allow tool-free disconnection even in tight panel layouts.
The 1A ceiling is the per-contact thermal limit; for a 14-position header carrying signal-level currents, this is well within the typical IDC cable assembly's capacity.
Note that this part is RoHS non-compliant due to the tin-lead post finish (100µin). If RoHS compliance is required, check the 1394090-1 or other lead-free alternatives in the AMP-Latch family.
Mating Half and Assembly Fit
The header mates with AMP-Latch IDC socket connectors (e.g., 499490 series) and standard 0.100" pitch ribbon cable assemblies. The 0.135" (3.43mm) post length is designed for through-hole soldering to a standard 1.6mm thick PCB. The 0.200" (5.08mm) mating pin length ensures full contact wipe inside the socket before the latch engages.
