With 0.100-inch pitch and 0.100-inch row spacing, this header accepts standard 20-conductor IDC ribbon cable — the pin spacing matches the conductor spacing exactly, so the IDC termination bites onto the centre of each conductor, not between them. The keying slot in the shroud ensures the mating receptacle is oriented correctly; pin 1 is typically marked on the housing or the PCB footprint.
The post finish is tin-lead (100.0 µinch), which wets well with standard solder profiles. The glass-filled nylon housing (UL94 V-0 rated) withstands reflow and wave temperatures without distortion.
