Pitch and Position Count — Board Fit
The 104797-5: Six positions are populated with five male pins; the sixth position is unloaded, which means the connector body carries a blank cavity. Confirm your BOM circuit count against the loaded positions before committing.
Gold Mating Finish — Connector Durability
The mating contact finish is gold with a thickness of 15 µinch (0.38 µm) over copper alloy. The post solder tails carry a tin-lead finish, 100 µinch thick, which wets well during wave or hand soldering.
Unshrouded Breakaway Header — Routing and Mating
This is an unshrouded breakaway header from the AMPMODU Mod II series.
Board-to-Board or Cable Interconnect
Listed for board-to-board or cable applications, this header mates with AMPMODU Mod II receptacles and IDC sockets. The dual-row layout with 0.100" row spacing supports ribbon cable or discrete wire harnesses. Typical uses include signal-level interconnects inside industrial controls, test equipment, and telecom gear where the 2.54 mm pitch is a de facto standard.
