Junior Timer 8-Position Plug Housing
It uses a dual-row layout on a 5.00mm pitch with matching 5.00mm row spacing — a standard power-class footprint that gives enough room for 20-18 AWG terminals without crowding the cavity. Contacts are crimp-terminated and ordered separately — the housing is a shell, not a loaded connector.
Pitch and Row Spacing
Both the pitch between adjacent contacts and the row spacing are 5.00mm. That means the contact cavities are laid out on a uniform 5.00mm grid — no staggered offset between rows. For a harness builder, this simplifies cavity-to-cavity wire routing and makes the mating interface symmetrical front-to-back. The 5.00mm pitch is a standard across the Junior Timer range, so the 8-position housing shares the same cavity spacing as the 6-position and 10-position siblings, differing only in cavity count.
This plug housing mates with a Junior Timer receptacle header (the matching female half). On the termination side, it accepts crimp tab terminals — the contact type is listed as Tab, meaning the male terminal blades insert into the housing cavities and lock in place. The PBT housing provides the primary lock; a secondary terminal position assurance (TPA) retainer is available for applications where vibration or service access demands a positive terminal-lock check.
