2-position open-top shunt for AMPMODU Mod IV headers
The 142270-1: It is a female socket that slides over two header pins, creating a low-resistance connection for configuration or programming functions. The open-top design allows probing or daisy-chaining with a second shunt, useful during board bring-up or rework.
Pitch, current, and contact finish that define the fit
The 3 A per-contact rating is adequate for signal-level shorting; if used in a power path, derate per the temperature rise of the surrounding circuit. Gold plating at 16.0 µin (0.41 µm) on the contact surface ensures reliable low-level signal switching over repeated mating cycles. Tin-plated shunts are cheaper but wear faster in frequent connect/disconnect applications — gold is the right choice for programming headers or test points.
Mating and board height
The shunt sits 0.248" (6.30 mm) above the board surface when mated, a low profile that fits within a 0.5" board-to-board spacing envelope. It mates with any AMPMODU Mod IV or compatible 0.025" square-header post on 0.100" pitch — no special keying or polarization.
