5-Position MIC Receptacle Housing for Wire Harness Builds
The 6.00 mm row spacing gives the connector a wider stance than typical 0.100" pitch housings, which translates to better voltage creepage and mechanical stability in the mated pair.
Contacts Not Included — Order Terminals Separately
For a complete connector assembly, order the matching MIC-series male tab crimp terminals separately. The tab-type contact interface means the receptacle accepts the blade-style male terminal that mates into this housing. The crimp termination style suits automated or manual wire harness assembly; the free-hanging mounting means no panel cutout or PCB footprint is required — the connector floats in the harness and mates with its counterpart via the terminal retention.
The 172044-1 mates with the corresponding MIC-series plug housing that accepts the male tab contacts. The 6.00 mm row spacing is the critical dimension for mating alignment — any MIC plug with matching 6.00 mm row spacing and 5-position count will fit. Confirm the terminal part number against the TE application tooling specification for consistent crimp quality.
For BOM planning, factor in the separate terminal order; the housing alone does not complete the interconnect.
