5.00 mm pitch, 5 positions, detent lock — what this header delivers
It's a shrouded 1-wall design with a detent lock, meaning the mating receptacle clicks into place and resists vibration better than an unshrouded pin header. Rated 2 A per contact at 250 VAC / 350 VDC, with tin-on-tin plating (31.5 µin on both mating and post sides). The insulation height of 0.409" gives clearance for wire routing under the mated connector.
The EI series is a general-purpose wire-to-board family. This 5-position member uses a detent lock, while other EI headers may use a friction lock or no lock — the detent adds positive retention without requiring a separate latch actuator. Mating half is a TE EI series receptacle housing with matching 5.00 mm pitch contacts.
