7-Position Panel-Mount Plug Housing, 2.50 mm Pitch
The TE Connectivity 172213-7 is a 7-position single-row plug housing from the EI series, designed for panel-mount snap-in installation. It carries a 0.098" (2.50 mm) pitch, which sets the footprint for the mating header and the wire-to-board interface. The housing is moulded in natural polyamide (PA66) nylon, rated for an operating range of -20°C to 95°C. This is a crimp-termination housing — the contacts are ordered separately and must be specified as a line item on the BOM.
Mounting and Termination
The housing snaps into a panel cutout — no additional hardware required for retention. The 2.50 mm pitch is a common spacing for signal-level wire-to-board interconnects in appliance and industrial control panels. Termination is crimp-style: the user selects the matching male pin contact (not included) and crimps it to the wire before inserting into the housing cavity. The single-row layout keeps the connector narrow, useful for tight panel layouts where board-edge space is limited.
