3-Position Receptacle Housing for Power and Signal Harnesses
The natural PA66 (Nylon 6/6) housing carries a 4.14mm pitch and accepts either male or female crimp contacts, giving the harness builder flexibility in terminal selection.
The 4.14mm pitch is wider than the 2.50mm or 3.00mm pitches common in signal-level connectors, which means the 172344-1 is built for moderate current-carrying capacity and larger wire gauges — typically 18-22 AWG in the Mini-Universal MATE-N-LOK family. Three positions in a single row keeps the housing compact for a 3-circuit harness leg. Compared to the 6-position 1-2069882-6 from the same series, the 172344-1 offers exactly half the circuits at the same 4.14mm pitch, so the footprint scales linearly with the wire count.
Contacts Are Ordered Separately — A Common Trip Point
The crimp termination allows field assembly with standard manual or automatic crimp tooling, and the locking ramp engages audibly when fully seated.
The natural (uncolored) nylon is a standard grade without glass fill, so it offers good impact resistance at the lower end of the range but should not be used near heat sources above 105°C ambient.
No obsolescence notice or last-time-buy date is on record.
