The 172732-4: The header is shrouded on one wall (Shrouded - 1 Wall) and uses a latch holder for fastening — the latch locks with the mating receptacle housing, providing vibration-resistant retention in cable-to-board connections where the wire harness sees pull or movement. Rated 250 VAC / 350 VDC — the voltage ceiling is sufficient for signal-level and low-power circuits in general-purpose equipment.
Tin-Plated Contacts, Board-to-Cable Duty
Tin is suitable for indoor, non-corrosive environments; for repeated field-service mating, a gold-plated sibling in the EI series would extend cycle life. The contact material is brass, formed as a square male pin.

Mating Half and Series Position
This header mates with a TE Connectivity EI series receptacle housing (wire-to-board) that accepts the corresponding crimp terminals. The EI series is a general-purpose, low-cost header family from TE, positioned below the Micro-Fit and Mini-Fit families in current and cycle life. For higher current or more mating cycles, consider the Micro-Fit 3.0 series (5 A per contact, gold plating option).
