The 1734709-9 is the 9-circuit member of TE's High Performance Interconnect (HPI) header line, a board-to-wire shrouded header with a 1.00 mm pitch. Rated 1 A per contact at 50 V, the tin-plated mating contacts suit moderate-duty signal applications. The surface-mount right-angle termination and solder retention features hold the part in place during reflow.
Housing and environmental ratings
The glass-filled thermoplastic housing carries a UL94 V-0 flammability rating and operates from -55°C to 105°C. The natural insulation colour and 0.114" (2.90 mm) insulation height are consistent across the HPI series. A full 4-wall shroud protects the male pins from damage during handling and mis-mating — a practical detail when the header sits at the board edge in a harness assembly.
