The TE Connectivity 1744036-2 is a 2-position receptacle housing from the Economy Power series, designed for free-hanging (in-line) wire-to-board or wire-to-wire applications where a reliable, polarized connection is needed. The housing is molded in natural polyamide (nylon) and uses a latch lock for positive retention once mated with the corresponding header. This is a housing only — contacts are ordered separately and installed via crimp termination.

Mating and Termination
This receptacle housing mates with the standard Economy Power header series — look for a 2-position, 5.08 mm pitch, latch-compatible header from the same family. The female socket contacts are crimped onto the wire before insertion into the housing; the latch lock engages when the housing is fully seated on the header. The natural nylon body provides the required UL94 V-2 flame rating for internal equipment wiring.
