22-Position Multi-Lock Plug Housing
The TE Connectivity 174515-1 is a 22-position plug housing from the Multi-Lock series, designed as the wire-side half of a wire-to-wire or wire-to-board interconnect system. It is a free-hanging (in-line) plug that accepts female socket contacts via crimp termination, making it the mating half for a corresponding header or receptacle in the same series. The housing is molded in white PBT with a latch holder fastening system that provides a positive lock when mated, suited for harness applications where vibration resistance is needed.
Contacts and Mating
Contacts are not included with this housing — the buyer must order the TE Multi-Lock female socket crimp terminals separately. The crimp termination accepts the wire gauge range specified for the terminal series, and the terminal is inserted into the housing cavity until the latch holder engages. The mating connector is the corresponding Multi-Lock header or receptacle with male pins that match the 22-position, 2-row layout at the same 5.20 mm row spacing. The latch holder on this plug locks onto the mating half's latch feature, providing retention that resists un-mating from cable strain or vibration.
