Compare it to the 9.50 mm pitch on the sealed 1-1703532-1 sibling (also 2 positions, also a plug) — the 1747050-1 saves board real estate while still leaving room for 14-18 AWG wire and the insulation. The 2-position count is the entry point for the Grace Inertia series; it handles a single circuit pair (power in/out or signal loop) without wasting space on unused cavities.
