Board fit and ribbon cable match
The 1761607-5: The 14 circuits match a 14-conductor ribbon; one row per side of the insulation displacement connector. The shrouded 4-wall housing with latch lock/eject hooks (long version) mates directly with the corresponding AMP-Latch IDC socket. The long hooks provide a positive lock and a mechanical lever to unmate the cable assembly without prying at the plastic.
Current and signal duty
The phosphor bronze contact material and 100.0µin tin post finish are standard for solder-to-board termination. The 0.102" (2.60mm) post length suits a typical 1.6mm PCB thickness with through-hole solder.
The PBT housing carries UL94 V-0 flammability rating.
Keying and alignment
Includes a keying slot in the shroud — this prevents mating a cable assembly that's rotated 180°, which would swap pin 1 and pin 14. On a ribbon cable, pin 1 is typically marked with a red stripe; the keying slot enforces that alignment at the connector.
