The 1761609-5: This 14-position header from TE's AMP-Latch series is a shrouded, 4-wall male pin header meant for board-to-cable/wire applications. Short latch lock/eject hooks on each end hold the mating socket in place against vibration and accidental tugging.
Mounting and Locking for a Stable Board Connection
Through-hole solder termination gives a mechanical anchor that handles the strain from the cable bundle better than a surface-mount header would. The post length is 0.102" (2.60 mm) — standard for a 0.062" board with a solder fillet on the far side. The keying slot prevents mismating with a socket that has a matching key — useful when multiple similar headers sit on the same board and the harness must go to the right one every time.
