The 178305-3 is the 10-position member of TE's Dynamic D-3100 header line, a shrouded 4-wall design with a detent lock for positive mating retention. Gold mating contacts at 30.0µin (0.76µm) thickness mate with the Dynamic D-3100 receptacle series; the board lock holds the header in place during wave solder.

Board lock & shrouding

The 4-wall shroud protects the tab contacts from stubbing during blind mating, and the detent lock provides audible feedback on full engagement. Board lock features on the through-hole posts anchor the header to the PCB before soldering.
